Half hardy perennial. Attractive pink to mauve two lipped flowers in Summer. Very aromatic three lobed leaves, emitting a sweet cedar-like scent. Protect in Winter.
Suggested Position
Requires a well drained soil in a warm sunny position. Plant into position in late spring or early summer after the last expected frosts.
Medicinal Value
It soothes, disinfects and astringes the mucous membranes and is an excellent remedy for sore throats, coughs and laryngitis. May be used in chronic bronchitis.
Externally it can be used to ease inflamations due to rheumatism and arthritis, as well as for dry and scaly skin skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
